We got an unexpected Typhoon holiday here in Taipei but the rain and wind was not that serious in my neighborhood. That means we've got a free holiday!

I can't think of better things to do than making a card! Here is what I made and I think I am addicted to so-called One-Layer Mixed Media Card! This card is for the following challenges:

One-Layer Mixed Media Hello Card

 

I wanted to challenge myself to make a one-layer mixed media card. I have never done that before and here is what I came up with!

 

Even though it is one layer, it is full of textures. I had partial background text, some stenciling with distress inks, some stenciling with embossing pastes and some embossing resist effect. It turned out not that difficult and I would definitely make some tries in the future!

I am having a small-sized remodeling in my home during the weekend, so I am kind of stuck in my home! What other better things to do in addition to monitoring the workers' progress? Ha! It's definitely the stamping and card making!

A Wedding Card for My Niece

This card is for my dear niece who happened to be my flower girl 27 years ago! (Time really flies!) I am so happy that she’s found her true love and I hope they have a lifetime of love and laughter together!

How can I not make a card for her?

I am happy with my card, elegant and sweet, which is exactly her style (and my style too)!

This card is simple, yet with lots of texture. I am entering it to Stampin' Royalty Challenge #235 - Keep it Simple!
