Hello, Crafty Friends are the Best

Hi Artsy Friends,

I was inspired by Altenew July Inspiration Challenge, not only by the color scheme but also the photo. If you know me, I like bright colors. The black (sky) background is an extreme challenge for me. Somehow, I decided to give it a try. I also referenced the sketch and Nicole’s two artworks, both applied Gold Embossing Powder.  Boy, I think I successfully extended my limits. Yay!

Hope my card is eye-pleasing to you. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Hi Artsy Friends,

I’ve never made Christmas Cards in July. Our temperature here in Taiwan is around 35 degrees in Celsius during the day time.  Nevertheless, with so many Christmas in July Challenges around, I thought I’d give it a try. Hope my card is eye-pleasing to you. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Card Details,

1. Apply white ink on the raised portion of one side of the folder, placing a (burgundy) card stock, then run through a die cut machine.

2. Splash Distress Spray Stain (Ranger, Tim Holtz, Picket Fence) on dry embossed panel.

3. Heat emboss the sentiment in black on a white scrap.

4. Assemble the card as shown.

5. Poinsettia embossing folder and sentiment stamp are by Altenew.

Hi Artsy Friends,

I dug out my Alcohol Inks during the weekends. I haven’t played with it for quite a while. This time I challenged myself to swipe the Alcohol Inks on vellum to create pastel rainbow-like effect.

I kind of like how it turned out. I’m so happy I gave it a try. Hope my card is inspirational to you. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day ahead.
