For You- Be Your Own Kind of BEAUTIFUL

Hi Artsy Friends,

I finally took time to finish assembling a pending card. In fact, it was a homework of Altenew Academy- The Magic of 3D Embossing Folders Online Class. I did a twist to combine Masking with DTP (Direct to Paper) Technique using several dye ink cube pads over an embossed/raised card panel.

Hope it’s eye-pleasing to you. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Card Details

Embossing folder, die and sentiment stamp are by Altenew. The sentiment die cut was heat embossed twice. The first layer is silver and the second layer is Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Glitter- Clear Rock Candy. Hope you can see the sparkly glittering shine.

Challenges Entered

I did both.

I did both too.

Life is Beautiful- Don’t Make it Complicated

Edited on 10/11/2021
This card was chosen as a Top 3 by The Crafter’s Café Challenge #274 - Favourite Colour Combo. What a delight! Thanks.

Hi Artsy Friends,

For this card, I went incredibly Clean and Simple, inspired by Altenew September Inspiration Challenge.
I decided not only to follow the color combo, but also challenge myself to stretch my CAS limit. I must say it’s a bit tough. Finally, here comes the most CAS card I’ve ever made over a decade. Ha!

I also made a matching envelop. Hope the set is eye-pleasing to you.

Thanks for stopping by and have a delightful day.

Card Details

1. All stamps and die (Cross Stitch Canvas) are by Altenew. Wonky Rectangle cover die is by My Favorite Things.

2. The flowers are covered by Wink of Stella and are shining sparkly. It's a shame that the photo does not do it justice.

Challenges Entered

I hope you can see the embossed cross stitch canvas on the matching envelop.

Pink, Magenta and lime Green happen to be one of my favorite color combo.

Edited on 10/11/2021

I’m delighted that this card was chosen as a Top Picks by Inkspirational Challenge #247 - Autumn Leaves and Top 3 by Mixed Media Lovers Challenge #5. It’s indeed an honor. Thanks.

I was thrilled to find out this overdue honor. This card was chosen as a Highlight by Use Your Stuff Challenge #430. It was still very encouraging.

Hi Artsy Friend,

It’s time to play along with Happy Little Stampers Stencil Challenge again. The September Challenge Theme remains to be Anything Goes.

For Challenge Rules and other DT’s inspirations, please check out the Challenge Blog. Please join us for the fun. I can’t wait to see what you have come up with.

This month I challenged myself to play Stenciling with Paste and Glitter. I must say the sparkling leaves are awesomely gorgeous.

It’s still very hot and humid here in Taiwan. But I’m ready for the autumn. Hope my card is inspirational to you. Thanks for stopping by and have a pleasant day.

Card Details
1. Stamp sentiment background (Stampin’ Up) on a white card panel.

2. Apply various Distress Oxide Inks over stencil (Simon Says Stamp) on sentiment background panel.

3. Apply Translucent Embossing Paste over stencil. While the paste is still wet, sprinkle Clear Rock Candy Distress Glitter on card panel. Let dry.

4. Die cut maple leave (Tim Holtz, Sizzix). Apply various Distress Oxide inks on leave. Heat Emboss text (Simon Says Stamp) in black.

5. Stamp and heat emboss sentiment (Thinking of You, Simon Says Stamp) in white on a black card scrap. Sponge Distress Oxide Ink (Ground Espresso) on panel edges. Assemble the card as shown. It's a shame that the photo couldn't show the sparkling shine.
