Sending Warm Blessings – Layered Die Cuts

Hi Artsy Friends,

I can’t stop making another snowflakes card. Each snowflake is unique and beautiful. Snowflakes are particularly precious for people like me living in subtropical countries. This time I challenged myself applying non-traditional winter/Christmas colors.

Hope this card is eye-pleasing to you. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

All dies and sentiment are by Altenew.

I noticed that I also missed Altenew’s March Inspiration Challenge. I’d like to make it up.

I love layered die cuts, snowflake theme and lots of glitters.

Happy Ever After – Two-Tone Glitter Ritz

Hi Artsy Friends,

I need to make a wedding card for a subordinate. I revisited an old card and made this one. It’s sparkly gorgeous.

In my country, red is a traditional color for wedding event despite that nowadays young people may not follow the tradition. I used it anyway. Hope my card is eye-pleasing to you. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Card Details

1. Stencil is by Simon Says Stamp. Stamp and sentiment are by STAMPlorations.

2. For  more Two-Tone Glitter Ritz cards, please check out my old card. I also applied an old school technique – Faux Metal Technique for the sentiment.

Challenges Entered

I love using dies and stencils in my cards. If I need to choose only one, I’d choose stencil because it’s inexpensive and can be used to stamp, layering, emboss, etc. And you can apply lots of media on it to achieve versatile effects.

Floral Flurries Thermos

Edited on 12/17/2021

I almost fell from the chair when I noticed that my Floral Flurries Thermos Project was chosen as the Second Place Winner by Altenew for its “Get Wild with Washi Creativity Inspired: Washi Tape Contest 2021!”. Woohoo!

Altenew offered one CRAFT YOUR LIFE PROJECT KIT: GARDEN ROSE (worth $59.99 each), shown below, as a prize.

I can’t thank Altenew’s inspirations and generosity enough!

Hi Artsy Friends,

My favorite thermos has a terrible (ugly) appearance because I use it every day.

Inspired by artworks of Altenew’s “Get Wild with Washi Creativity Inspired: Washi Tape Contest 2021!”, I decided to dig out my brand new Altenew Washi Tape to cover the bottle.

I applied two layers of washi tape which created awesome visual depth. I think the new look is great and I love it even though there are some wrinkles. Wrinkles are organic, and handmade doesn’t need to be perfect, right?

Anyway, flower power! I can’t wait to bring my Floral Flurries Thermos out. Thanks for stopping by and have a cheerful day.

Thinking of You – Stencil Monoprint

Edited on 11/20/2021

I’m thrilled that this card was chosen as a Top 3 by As You Like It Challenge – Favorite Circle Embellishment. Thanks, DTs.

Hi Artsy Friends,

It’s time to play along with Happy Little Stampers Stencil Challenge again. The November Challenge Theme remains to be Anything Goes.

For Challenge Rules and other DT’s inspirations, please check out the Challenge Blog. Please join us for the fun. I can’t wait to see what you have come up with.

I’ve been buried by overwhelming matters (both business and personal) lately. In order to deliver my DT artwork, I dug out a Stencil Monoprint background that I made in August. This is in fact a Make-Two-At-One-Time project.  I’m so grateful that I saved it which in turn saved my day! Ha! Hope this card is eye-pleasing to you. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Card Details

1. The Make-Two-At-One-Time project’s two stenciled background is shown above. And for my first card, please check out here.

2. Stencil and Butterfly die cut are by Simon Says Stamp and so is the Holographic Rainbow Paper which is used for butterfly die cut. Scribble die cut is by Tim Holtz, Sizzix. Sentiment is by Hero Arts.

Challenges Entered
I hope my non-standard flowers wreath background is qualitied.
My favorite circle embellishment is scribble circle like the one I used in this card. It adds texture to the background with artsy effect. Sometimes standard is boring! Ha!
I did not play with the optional twist.

So Grateful – Pigment Ink Blending

Hi Artsy Friends,

I used to think Pigment Inks are for Heat Embossing. After noticing some demonstration stunning cards of ERUM TASNEEM using light-colored pigments inks over dark-colored cardstocks, I thought I might give it a try.

I decided to apply complimentary color scheme for this card. I think it turned out not bad. This has opened up more opportunities for me to make use of Pigment Inks. Thanks, Altenew, for hosting this challenge.

Hope this card is eye-pleasing to you. Thanks for stopping by and have a colorful day.

Card Details

Pigment Inks (Buttercream, Warm Sunshine and Ruby Red), Embossing Folder and sentiment die are all by Altenew.

My take is Thankful Sentiment, Free and Any Color

Get Well Soon – Real Leaf Print

Edited on 11/5/2021

I’m so glad this card was chosen as a TOP Three by CAS Mix Up October Mixed Media Challenge. What an honor!

Hi Artsy Friends,

Today I challenged myself to apply Oxide Inks on a real leaf and printed it on a card, thanks to inspirations from several challenges. The shape of the leaf is very special, isn’t it?

It’s Bauhinia or so-called Purple Camel’s Foot/ Orchid Tree/Mountain Ebony. Bauhinia is very popular here in Taiwan and is one of my favorite street trees. And there’re two huge Bauhinia in my neighborhood.

The card is for a friend who’s going to have an operation. Hope my card is eye-pleasing to you. Thanks for stopping by and have a beautiful day.

Card Details

Sentiment is by Hero Arts. Wonky Frame die is by my Favorite Things.
