Thanks for All You Do – Multi-Layer Stenciling with Gel Press

Edited on 6/5/2021
I’m happy that this card was chosen as a Winner by STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge, March – Anything Goes. Thanks, DT. You certainly made my day.

Hi Artsy Friends,
It’s time to play along with Happy Little Stampers Stencil Challenge again. The March Challenge Theme remains to be Anything Goes.

No matter if your projects are CAS, Vintage or Mixed Media styles, cards, tags, art journals …, as long as it involves stencils, you’re welcomed to join. For Challenge Rules and other DT’s inspirations, please check out the Challenge Blog. I’m sure the Theme has endless possibilities, so please do join us for the fun.

This card is for a new friend I just got to know. She brought some brand new terrific and helpful concepts/tips towards clothing management to me. I can’t thank her enough.

The following is how I made my card. Hope my card is  inspirational to you. Thanks for stopping by and wish you a great day ahead.

Card Details
1. Place Gel Press on the inside of Misti Cover. Apply various Distress Oxide Inks (Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves) on Gel Press, use brayer to mix the colors. Place a card stock on left side of Misty. Place stencil (Altenew) on cardstock.
2. Close Misti Cover to press Gel Press on cardstock. Repeat while rotating the stencil (Altenew) several times to make three cardstocks in total. Stamp the background text (Simon Says Stamp).
3. Die cut one background cardstock to make a card base panel. Wanky Stitch die is by My favorite Thing.
4. Apply Nuvo Glimmer Paste over Butterfly Stencil (Simon Says Stamp). Heat Emboss text (thanks) in white on back card scrap and die cut. Stamp tiny sentiment in black on white scrap and cut out. Sentiment stamp set is by Simon Says Stamp.
5. Assemble the card as follows. Boy, the glimmering butterflies are really stunning. I just hope you can see.
