Happy Little Stampers Stencil Challenge – 2022 September Anything Goes

Hi Artsy Friends,

It’s time to play along with Happy Little Stampers Stencil Challenge again. The Challenge Theme is always Anything Goes.     

No matter if your artwork is CAS, Vintage or Mixed Media styles, cards, tags, art journals …, as long as it involves stencils, you’re welcomed to join. For Challenge Rules and other DT’s inspirations, please check out our Challenge Blog. I’m sure the Theme has endless possibilities, so please do join us for the fun.

My life has been a chaos lately. I’m running out of both time and ideas. So I think it’s time to dig out something from my stash. I gladly found a piece of background paper that I made last year and quickly made this card. I apologize for not taking step-by step demonstration photos. Hope this quick card is inspirational to you. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day ahead.

Card Details

1. Mask and stencil have similar functions. In this card, I actually use several diecut hearts as masks and I call it Mask Stenciling. Ha!

2. Sponge distress ink over several heart masks on a pattered paper. (Please see here for my previous card for more inspiration.)

3. Die cut butterfly (Tim Holtz) from a black card scrap and cover with Clear Wink of Stella to create shining effect.

4. Stamp sentiment (Hero Arts) in black on the altered patterned paper.

5. Assemble the card as shown.
