Happy Ever After

Edited on 4/8/2017
The card was chosen as one of the Top 5 Favorites by House of Cards DTs. What a happy surprise! Thanks, DTs.

I made this card for my niece. The wedding will be held in Chicago. Duo to long distance, we won’t be able to attend. I hope this card will express our most sincere wishes to the young couple.

This is the first mixed media CAS wedding card I’ve ever made. I kind of love how it turned out and I truly hope my niece will like it.

Hope this card brings you love and happiness. Thanks for stopping by.

Blessed

I’m happy that I made this tag. My tag was inspired by various challenges. To make this tag, I applied several techniques: stenciling with distress mists,  torn-page collage and coloring over crackle paste. I really love the layers and textures, and feel artsy after finishing it. Ha!

I feel blessed that I have a hobby that I can get indulged with to forget the fatigue and stress after a long day's work. How about you? Hope you like this tag too. Thanks for stopping by.

Friends Forever

Hi Stamping Friends,

I'm so excited to play along with Happy Little Stampers (HLS) Mixed Media Challenge again. February's theme is Tear/Rip.

For details and other DTs’ inspirations, please check out the Challenge Blog. Anything mixed media could be linked up to our challenge as long as it follows our theme. Be sure to join for a chance to win $15.

The following are how I made my card.

Card Details

1. I placed two stencils together (one over the other) on a watercolor paper, then spritzed several distress inks to make my own background paper.

2. I created my own old book pages by stamping three different font texts and one sheet music on parchment papers using archival ink.

3. I tore several pieces of DIY old book pages and clued them to the background paper by Gel Medium.

4. After dry, I applied white embossing paste over lattice stencil.

5. I diecut a sketch heart, added glitters to the heart edge.

6. I cut the stamped sentiment, affixed heart and the glittering edge to the background paper, and assembled the card as shown.

Hope my card is inspirational to you. I also hope we stamping friends are FRIENDS FOREVER.  If you like my card, please drop me a note. Thanks for stopping by.

I Appreciate You

Hi Stamping Friends,

I was inspired by several challenges and have made a tag with a card.  I’ll give this card to a subordinate who has been so understanding and helped me lots of extras work.

In addition to say “I love you”, I think Valentine is also a good time to say “I appreciate you.” Do you agree? Hope this card is eye-pleasing to you. Thanks for stopping by.

My choice is embossing paste over a stencil.

I was inspired by the word-Passion which made me think about coffee and Valentine and appreciate. Ha!

My style is Clean and Layered Style. I was inspired by the sweet hearts even though my heart was not the focal point.

     I played with the theme.
