Hi Artsy Friends, I’m trying hard to catch up the homework of All About Layering 6 Die Edition online class of Altenew Academy. This is Lesson Four which incorporates a shaker card. I don’t have similar pattern papers so I applied Ink Blending Technique for the Peony. Hope it’s eye-pleasing to you. Thanks for stopping by.

I prefer Spring to Summer because the Spring season in my country, Taiwan, is not too cold and not too hot. There are lots of flowers blooming with all kinds of beautiful colors. Spring is just an eye-pleasing season.

Every Girl Deserves a Fairy Tale

It is time to play along with Happy Little Stamper Mixed Media Challenge again! March Challenge Theme is Books.

My tag has three elements echoing BOOKs: dictionary background, emboss resist on a circle dictionary panel and a sentiment about Fairy Tale. The following are how I made this tag.

1. Stamped dictionary background on tag.

 

2. Applied three colors of Infusions together with  Gel Medium on tag.

3. After dry, stamped several grunge elements using Distress Paints.

4. After dry, applied Pearlescent Embossing Paste through a stencil over the tag. Die cut a circle panel. Stamped dictionary background. Heat embossed silhouette couple with VersaMark.  Applied Distress Ink to create Emboss Resist effect. Trimmed circle panel and attached to tag as shown.

5. Heat embossed sentiments in white on black cardstock and cut in pieces. Made three DIY rolled flowers.

6. Assembled the tag as shown on top with a zoom-in below.

Hope my tag is inspirational to you. I’m happy that I played something new - Infusions and something old – Distress Paints and Pearlescent Embossing Paste, and something very old - rolled flowers dies and sentiment stamp. I’m also happy with how the tag turned out.

Thanks ~ Fantasy in Fall

I made this card for the following challenges:

I have to say that the color scheme and elements were inspired by the photo of Fantasy in Fall. I further incorporated cork and alphabet stickers so that I could also enter the other two challenges of Moxie Fab World!

When I tried to place alphabet stickers on the cork, I incidentally found that the cork was kind of resisting the stickiness of alphabet stickers! I ended up adding some Glossy Accents behind the alphabet stickers to make them more secured on cork!

旋轉藝術技法(Spin Art)

這次的技法分享Helen要偷懶，不打算用文字敘述，請大家直接看Club Scrap的Tricia Morris錄影教學就會一目瞭然。 

如果你喜歡，又沒有工具，請不要罵Helen！這玩具是美國RoseArt所出的Spin Art小機器，去年10月Helen買時Amazon訂價才US$14.99，不知為何現在漲為US$27.99！ 

Tricia Morris用的許多材料例如semi-gloss paper，Glimmer Mist等等Helen都沒有，不過Helen還是利用手邊已有的材料玩得不亦樂乎！ 

圖一這張卡片Helen是用200磅的柔美紙，用SU的水性補充墨水（Dye-Ink Reinker）Apricot Appeal和Certainly Celery兩色噴出；玫瑰花則是Tim大師去年耶誕節時12 Tags of Christmas-Day 12所示範，不過更早Wendy Vecchi也有示範A Rose is a rose，另Beate Jones也有錄影教學Grunge Flower。

Helen的玫瑰花用的是Tim大師與Sizzix合作的刀模Tattered Florals，用其中小朵的六瓣花朵共三片，近照如圖二，效果還不賴！

圖三則是用鏡面紙，搭配SU的水性補充墨水Pretty in Pink和Lavender Lace。

圖四是用Manila Tag，顏料用的是Ranger ColorWash Lectuce。
