CAS Happy Birthday Card

Hello Artsy Friends,

This card is for my little daughter who is far away working overseas. She is 26 now. We have not been able to celebrate her birthday with her ever since she was 19 because of the long distance. She is as sweet as this card.

Inside the card, I stamped “Be Confident, Be Brave, Be Amazing”. I miss her so much and just hope that she is happy, healthy and well loved.

Happy Birthday, my sweet baby.

Card Details

1. Sentiment stamp and die are by Simon Says Stamp.

2. I added Wink of Stella in each heart which shines beautifully.

As can been seen, the shapes in my card are hearts.
I used a die in my card.

Hello Crafty Friend - White Ink Gel Press Layering Technique

Hello Artsy Friends,

I was so inspired by WHITE INK GEL PRESS LAYERING technique demonstrated by Jennifer McGuire that I made this card.

This card is for a long-time crafty friend who is so kind to have sent me a greeting card.

Card Details

1. Stencils (Leaf Bed and Feeling Dotty) are by Altenew.

2. Dies (Hello Crafty Friend and Heart Breeze) are by Simon Says Stamps.

My favorite way to cut my image or sentiment is to use dies through die-cut machine. Why? Because it is the most effortless and simplest way. I hate fussy cutting.

The Leaf Bed stencil and Hello Crafty Friend die are both the never-before-used stuff.

Hi Artsy Friends,
It’s time to play along with Happy Little Stampers Stencil Challenge again. The March Challenge Theme remains to be Anything Goes.

For Challenge Rules and other DT’s inspirations, please check out the Challenge Blog. I’m sure the Theme has endless possibilities, so please do join us for the fun.

This card is for a new friend I just got to know. She brought some brand new terrific and helpful concepts/tips towards clothing management to me. I can’t thank her enough.

The following is how I made my card. Hope my card is  inspirational to you. Thanks for stopping by and wish you a great day ahead.

Card Details
1. Place Gel Press on the inside of Misti Cover. Apply various Distress Oxide Inks (Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves) on Gel Press, use brayer to mix the colors. Place a card stock on left side of Misty. Place stencil (Altenew) on cardstock.
2. Close Misti Cover to press Gel Press on cardstock. Repeat while rotating the stencil (Altenew) several times to make three cardstocks in total. Stamp the background text (Simon Says Stamp).
3. Die cut one background cardstock to make a card base panel. Wanky Stitch die is by My favorite Thing.
4. Apply Nuvo Glimmer Paste over Butterfly Stencil (Simon Says Stamp). Heat Emboss text (thanks) in white on back card scrap and die cut. Stamp tiny sentiment in black on white scrap and cut out. Sentiment stamp set is by Simon Says Stamp.
5. Assemble the card as follows. Boy, the glimmering butterflies are really stunning. I just hope you can see.

I made this card for my extremely talented artsy friend, Ann Chuang who was sweet enough to have sent me a Christmas card earlier. The inspirations came from Ann’s card sketch below,

my previous ATCs,

and the scene I saw in my recent trip to Nikko, Japan.

Hope this card is eye-pleasing to you. Thanks for stopping by and wish you a great day and year ahead.

Card Details,
1. Stamp is by Hero Arts and dies are by Memory Box. Stencil and die cut are by Memory Box.
2. For the mixed media background tutorial, please check out my previous DT post here.

The Christmas Day (12/25) is a normal working day here in Taiwan and I haven’t decorated a Christmas tree in my home for some years. So I’m sharing a snowy landscape card with several snow-covered trees.  I made this card on the last day of 2019 and it surely is one of my favorite cards.

Hi Artsy Friends,
It’s time to play along with Happy Little Stampers (HLS) ATC (Artist Trading Card/Coin) Challenge again. The December Challenge Theme is Bling. For Challenge Rules and other DTs’ inspirations, please check out the Challenge Blog

I instantly thought about making a snowing Christmas theme with lots of bling bling might be a good idea. And boy, these ATCs turned out to be quite gorgeous, so shiny and sparkling! My bling is made out of Glitter Ritz (Transparent Micro Fine Glitter), Gold and Silver Embossing Pastes. Hope you like my interpretation. I'd like to thank and credit my artsy friend/mentor, Mandy, for this Mixed Media Tissue Paper Technique which I learnt from her during a Christmas Handmade Card Gathering in mid November.
Thanks for stopping by and wish you a great day ahead.

ATC Details

1. Apply three Acrylic Paints (Ocean, Sky, Lapis) on Gelli Plate and mix well with a brayer.
2. Lay snowflake stencil (Memory Box) on Gelli Plate.

3. Place a tissue paper and press with fingers. The tissue paper will get acrylic paints for the positive snowflake images.

4. Remove the stencil and place another tissue paper. Press with fingers. The tissue paper will get acrylic paints for the negative snowflake images.

5. Place two tissue papers together, one on top of the other.

6. Use bottle caps to apply Gold Metallic Embossing Paste on background tissue paper. Boy, this monochromatic mixed media tissue paper background is beautiful, isn’t it?

7. Cut background tissue paper into ATC size. Apple Silver Metallic Embossing Paste over Falling Snow Stencil on ATC background tissue paper.

8. Apply Be Creative Tape on white cardstock and die cut Country Landscape die (Memory Box) from it. Cover Country Landscape image with Glitter Ritz (Warm Highlight).

9. Assemble the ATC and affix text stickers (Tim Holtz) as shown.
