Another Happy Retirement Card

Hi Artsy Friends,

I can’t believe I got another early retirement application within the same week. This colleague has worked for 30 years. Normally the turnover rate for senior people is quite low. I actually was not prepared to get two retirement applications right before the Chinese New Year. Yet I guess I just have to congratulate them. She likes plants. Hope my card will touch her heart. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a beautiful day.

Card Details

Embossing folder and leave dies are by Simon Says Stamp. Sentiment is by Stampin’ Up (retired).

Challenges Entered

I applied Dry Emboss.
I did not play with the twist.

Happy Retirement- Die Cuts Placement

Edited on 4/10/2022

I’m so glad this card was chosen as a TOP Three by Can You Handle the Pressure - Anything Goes Embossing With A Twist of Pink Challenge and a TOP ROCKER for the week of February 14-20, 2022 at 613 Avenue Create. Thanks, DTs. What an honor!

Hi Artsy Friends,

I recently had a colleague applying for early retirement. She has worked for 28 years. I think we should congratulate her for the perfect ending to the working journey and a brand new beginning of another journey in life.  28 years are a long time so we should definitely show some loves too. I spent an unbelievable time in placing the various positive heart die cuts, but it’s quite therapeutic anyway! Ha!

The shine from the holographic hearts and sparkle from daisy centers are just gorgeous. Hope my card will touch her heart. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a relaxing day.

Card Details

1. Embossing folder, heart die and holographic rainbow cardstock are by Simon Says Stamp. Sentiment is by Stampin’ Up (retired).

2. The daisy flower centers are covered by Clear Wink of Stella.

Challenges Entered

I have Pink, Sparkle and Hearts in my card.

I have Sentiment/Embellish/Die Cut and Sentiment/Free/White.

I have embossed daisies as background in my card.

You’re Always in my Heart – Layered Stamping

Hi Artsy Friends,

Happy Chinese Lunar New Year, the Year of Tiger.

It’s time to play along with Happy Little Stampers Stencil Challenge again. The February Challenge Theme remains to be Anything Goes.

For Challenge Rules and other DT’s inspirations, please check out the Challenge Blog. Please join us for the fun. I can’t wait to see what you have come up with.

This month I played with DIY stencil again and revisited Layered Stamping. Hope my card is inspirational to you. Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day.

Card Details

1. Die cut a card panel. Use the die cut as a stencil and apply dye inks to make two background panels at once. I used the right one for this card.

2. Stamp Sunflower Daisy and leaves using Layered Stamping Techniques. Apply Clear Wink of Stella on flower and leaves and die cut.

3. Stamp sentiment in black on radiant heart background panel. Assemble the card as shown. The sparkly daisy and leaves are just stunning.

(Stamps and dies are all by Altenew.)

Challenges Entered

I applied the color combo in my card.

I was inspired by the heart shape and the floral theme, yet I used a Daisy instead of Roses.

I chose cards for Fabulous Friendships because I only have one true love, my hubby. He’ll go crazy if I make cards for him every day. But I have lots of friends whom I have many occasions to make cards for. LOL!

XOXO- Negative Diecut Stenciling

Hi Artsy Friends,

Following my previous card, I quickly made this one. I definitely love making two background panels at once. Even though it’s a quick card, I challenged myself to make a DIY glitter paper by Glitter Ritz. I just hope you can see the pink sparkly second layer heart.

Hope it’s eye-pleasing to you. Thanks for stopping by and have a sparkly day.

Stencil, sentiment and die are by Altenew.
