Just Missing You - Simple Stenciling

Hi Artsy Friends,

It’s time to play along with Happy Little Stampers Stencil Challenge again. The March Challenge Theme remains to be Anything Goes.

This month I made a card in memory of my father. He is like a sheltering tree to me and my family. He enjoyed watching sunset. I just miss him.

Card Details

1. Stamp trees (Stampin’ Up, my all-time favorite tree images) in black on a white panel and heat emboss.

2. Apply Distress Oxide Inks over cloud stencil (My Favorite Things).

3. Apply Distress Oxide Ink on bottom and the edges of card panel.

4. Stamp sentiment (Hero Arts) in black and heat emboss.

5. Mount the panel to a card. 

Another Happy Retirement Card

Hi Artsy Friends,

I can’t believe I got another early retirement application within the same week. This colleague has worked for 30 years. Normally the turnover rate for senior people is quite low. I actually was not prepared to get two retirement applications right before the Chinese New Year. Yet I guess I just have to congratulate them. She likes plants. Hope my card will touch her heart. Hi Artsy Friends,

I recently had a colleague applying for early retirement. She has worked for 28 years. I think we should congratulate her for the perfect ending to the working journey and a brand new beginning of another journey in life.  28 years are a long time so we should definitely show some loves too. I spent an unbelievable time in placing the various positive heart die cuts, but it’s quite therapeutic anyway! Ha! 

The shine from the holographic hearts and sparkle from daisy centers are just gorgeous. Hope my card will touch her heart. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a relaxing day.
