Strive to Find the BEAUTY in Every Situation

Hi Artsy Friends,

It’s time to play along with Happy Little Stampers Stencil Challenge again. The October Challenge Theme remains to be Anything Goes.

For Challenge Rules and other DT’s inspirations, please check out the Challenge Blog. Please join us for the fun. I can’t wait to see what you have come up with.

This month I challenged myself to revisit Stenciling with both sides. October is the month when leaves start to change colors. Hope my card is inspirational to you. Thanks for stopping by and have a colorful day.

Card Details
1. Apply various Distress Oxside Inks directly on stencil, i.e. using stencil (Altenew) as a stamp.
2. Spritz colored stencil with water and flip the colored stencil over to stamp colors on a cardstock.
Apply paper towel over the stencil and press to help cardstock absorb the distress oxside inks.
3. Apply various Distress Oxside Inks over stencil on cardstock.
4. Remove stencil. Die cut the multi-colored stencil background with Wonky Rectangle die (My Favorite Things). Stamp sentiment (Altenew) in black and head emboss.
5. Layered Stamping two leaf branches and die cut. (Altenew)
6.Assemble the card as shown.

What Autumn means to me is a season of gratitude and appreciation. What’s better than being sound and safe under such a long time of Pandemic! I’m deeply thankful.
I love Autumn because of nice weather and gorgeous colors of nature and I love playing with inks, stencils and die cuts to make cards. .

  1. I have never tried doing a stencil that way. Your card turned out beautiful. That is one of my favorite Altenew stamps.
